The Open Horizons Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that believes in every child's right to support and opportunity—no matter their challenges. Through community partnerships, advocacy, and direct funding, we strive to expand quality care, education, and resources across Texas and beyond. We are dedicated to empower families of children with disabilities of all kinds with vital resources, inclusive opportunities, and supportive communities by breaking down knowledge barriers, fostering advocacy, and ensuring that families have the tools they need to thrive locally, holistically, and with dignity while never feeling alone in their child’s journey.
We partner with underserved communities to create meaningful improvements for children with disabilities by building centers that the state offers families funding for.
Connect families to resources, opportunities, and like-minded families to alleviate boundaries they face.
Supporting licensed Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Centers for children with complex and severe medical needs as well as inclusive daycares for the siblings of the PPECC children and those with developmental disabilities.
Providing access to specialized therapy services including occupational, speech, and physical therapy.
Creating inclusive community programs that foster understanding and acceptance.
